Invisalign system

Invisalign system is an alternative to classic fixed braces. The base of the system consists of transparent trays designed individually to the Patient’s bite on the basis of digital impressions. During the treatment the Patient puts on the teeth from 12 to 48 specially shaped splints – depending on the malocclusion occurring – until the teeth are aligned. Each Invisalign splint is worn for 2 weeks and then replaced with a new one. The advantage of this system is its discretion as well as the possibility to remove the splint at any time e.g. while eating or brushing teeth.

SEE THE TREATMENT PROCESS BEFORE IT BEGINS

Each Invisalign patient can see how their smile will look like even before the treatment starts. This is done with ClinCheck® technology, which provides a digital map of the entire Invisalign treatment process. Your Invisalign doctor develops a precise, personalised treatment plan, taking into account your exact tooth movement and the time needed for treatment.

Where to start? How does the treatment process proceed?

The first step is an orthodontic consultation during which the doctor will present the treatment options for your malocclusion.

Once the Invisalign doctor qualifies you for the treatment, the following photos will be taken: pantomographic and cephalometric, digital scans of the patient’s teeth.

This documentation is the basis for creating an individual ClinCheck® 3D treatment plan.

Then the patient receives a set of specially made for him/her onlays, which must be worn and replaced every day at home – on average every 1-2 weeks.

The waiting time for receiving Invisalign trays is about one month.

The doctor meets with the patient every 6-8 weeks to monitor the progress of the treatment and to issue new trays. Once treatment is complete, retention braces are required to hold the teeth in their new position.
