Professional teeth whitening
Nowadays, a snow-white smile largely influences the feeling of attractiveness and self-confidence. For those patients, for whom nature was not kind enough to give them a pearly smile, we offer teeth whitening treatment. In our clinic we offer both professional office teeth whitening with the use of a whitening lamp as well as teeth whitening by means of trays.
Teeth whitening is preceded by a medical consultation, as the procedure can be performed only on healthy teeth and healthy periodontium. It is also necessary to go for a hygienization visit – to remove tartar and plaque, which by settling on the tooth surface significantly reduce the effectiveness of the whitening procedure.
Professional whitening of teeth in the office consists in multiple application of a special whitening gel on the surface of the teeth and exposing them to the light emitted by a whitening lamp, which accelerates the whitening process itself. The entire procedure takes place during one visit to the dentist’s office and lasts about 1.5-2 hours (the length of the procedure may vary depending on the initial colour of teeth or sensitivity of the Patient).
Whitening by means of trays is performed individually for the Patient on celluloid trays with profiled containers for the whitening preparation (in the form of gel). The trays are precisely fitted by the dentist, who instructs the Patient how to apply the whitening gel received in the office. The trained Patient performs the recommended procedures at home. Whitening with this method lasts from 7 to 14 days.
The whitening effect lasts from six months to two years, depending on the patient’s diet, hygienic practices and smoking. Please note that fillings and prosthetic restorations (e.g. crowns) will not whiten – their colour will remain the same. Therefore, after the whitening treatment there may be an aesthetic indication to replace them with lighter ones.
During the whitening procedure a few percent of patients experience temporary cold sensitivity of teeth, which usually disappears within one to three days after the procedure.
White aesthetics, pink aesthetics

Composite veneers
The procedure of making composite veneers is called bonding. You may also encounter the term “dental chips”.
A composite veneer is a thin layer of composite resin formed on the front (facing) surface of a tooth after prior etching. Thanks to this procedure it is possible to change both the shape and the colour of a tooth with minimal interference with the tooth structure (without grinding it). You can enjoy the aesthetic effects already after the first visit. A composite veneer on one tooth takes about 30-60 minutes. The cost of one composite veneer is 550 PLN.
Composite veneers enable the correction of enamel defects and cracks, covering interdental gaps (diastema), elimination of white discolouration or tooth chipping. They are also a recommendable solution for patients with the problem of tooth hypersensitivity – by covering the enamel surface they protect against contact with cold or acidic food.
The durability of composite veneers is estimated at 2-5 years depending on eating habits (they may become discoloured by e.g. coffee or wine) and care of oral hygiene. When the Patient after a few years of using composite veneers is no longer satisfied with the aesthetic effect, another composite or porcelain veneers may be made (durability of porcelain veneers is much higher than of composite ones).
The recommendation after the bonding procedure is to limit the habits, such as pencil or nail biting, as well as giving up coloured drinks and food. Patients should also remember about regular check-ups at the dentist’s (every 6 months), during which the dentist polishes completed restorations.
Contraindication for the implementation of composite veneers is bruxism (teeth grinding), teeth with extensive fillings (especially amalgam), missing teeth in the lateral sections of the dentition, which have not been complemented, for example, with dentures (such a situation may damage the veneers, due to their significant load), insufficient hygiene of the oral cavity, bite irregularities.
Porcelain veneers
They are thin (0.5 – 0.75 mm) ceramic flakes glued on the front (face) of enamel. Thanks to the application of porcelain veneers we can give teeth the desired shape, change the colour of teeth, cover extensive, discoloured fillings and also close gaps between teeth. Making porcelain veneers consists in minimal grinding of tooth enamel surface and taking an impression, on the basis of which a dental technician will make veneers. Porcelain veneers are more durable than composite veneers and more resistant to staining. Their durability is estimated at 8-10 years. The cost of a porcelain veneer is 1700 zł.
The advantage of using porcelain veneers is the minimal interference in the tooth structure. Of course, the extent of preparation (grinding) depends on the individual situation of the Patient’s dentition. Contraindication for the use of this prosthetic restoration are bite parafunctions (bruxism, nail biting), insufficient oral hygiene, some bite defects.
